Serotica is a high-contrast serif typeface rooted in Venetian and early Didone models, reinterpreted with a taller, more regular, and contemporary structure. The design emphasizes controlled contrast, smooth transitions between thick and thin strokes, and softly modulated curves that give the letterforms a subtle sense of depth without relying on overt calligraphic gestures.
The serifs are informed by 17th-century Venetian types, while the vertical stress and contrast reference later Didone influences. These historical cues are refined into a condensed, symmetrical profile that feels precise rather than ornamental, balancing classical proportions with modern clarity.
Serotica is intended primarily for display use, where its contrast and detailing can be fully appreciated. Its narrow width allows for efficient use of space in headlines and titles, while the clean stroke modulation translates well to physical applications such as laser cutting, embossing, and raised printing.
The name Serotica refers to the typeface’s emphasis on form, tension, and surface—expressed through proportion and rhythm rather than decoration.
Hours is a London-based music label and event series focused on underground electronic music, with a commitment to making nightlife more accessible. Founded as both a platform and a community, Hours responds to the limitations of traditional club culture by prioritising care, clarity, and quality in equal measure.
The project brings together emerging artists and established musicians through carefully curated line-ups, presented in intimate venues with considered acoustics and high-quality sound systems. Rather than aligning itself with a specific genre, Hours operates as a flexible framework guided by mood, tempo, and intent, allowing a wide range of electronic practices to coexist whilst maintaining a signature sound.
Accessibility is treated as a structural concern rather than an afterthought. Events are designed with neurodivergent audiences in mind, considering factors such as scale, pacing, communication, and atmosphere, while maintaining the standards expected of serious music programming. The aim is not to dilute the experience, but to broaden who it is built for. Hours positions itself as a long-term contribution to the scene, supporting underrepresented voices, fostering collaboration across experience levels, and creating space for alternative ways of participating in nightlife, without compromising artistic or technical standards.
As Co-Founder and Art Director, I developed the visual identity and all design outputs, including event posters, digital and physical music releases, and social media. The visual language is intentionally restrained and flexible, designed to work across formats while supporting the music rather than competing with it. Based on the idea of duality, each event brings out a new sub-identity that captures the essence of each particular party, from genre and venue to time of day and of year.

I worked on (BA) Graphic Branding Identity, Class of 2023’s Graduate Show at London College of Communication, UAL.
We started by creating our course’s visual identity. We were a very diverse class interms of practices, from animation, film and 3D to illustration, UI/UX, packaging and typography. What we all have in common though is our love for branding. We based the identity on the idea of a golden thread uniting our class, thread that is present all throughout the identity and show. It also shows up in the alternative characters of the typeface used: Factor A.
The graduate exhibition embodies our class’s greatest creative concepts and incredible design work. We were in charge of gathering projects from all GBI students and designing the exhibition. We also designed merchandise, yearbook and other assets and built all component of the show.
Our exhibition was selected as the most representative from the entire University of the Arts London and we got to chance to recreate it for the New Designers Award at Business Design Centre in Angel, for the first time in our course’s history.
