Maya needed a rebranding that would reflect its innovative approach and resonate with the evolving demands of its consumers in a dynamic retail landscape, especially during the pandemic.
My design approach was rooted in distilling Maya’s essence into a visual language that speaks directly to their core values: simplicity, recognizability, and approachability.
This identity is poised to guide Maya’s expansion beyond Romania into the broader European market successfully. Maya now stands as a brand that resonates with customers and emphasizes their commitment to local sourcing.
I redesigned the packaging for a series of their essential, own-brand products to reflect the new visual identity. The pattern used throughout the packages follows the curves of the letters to create a recognizable brand asset that differentiates Maya from other supermarkets.
